MonCapitaine's goal is to provide the basics of navigation for future navigators (or just people interested in the functionement of a boat, or wanting a reminder of basics).

With zero experience, one will acquire the primordial knowledge inside the "Theory" sections, starting with a beginning entrance level to an advanced level of learning.

How is the wind work ? Why is there waves on the sea ? What is the scale of Beaufort ? What is the Archimedes' Law ? Those questions and much more are also explained in the theory parts.

Some important maneuvers on a sailboat are also represented inside the "Practice" section.

One will learn the best practices to realize a reverse gear maneuver, for example.

How to park a boat in the port ? Well, this is also explained.

A glossary of maritime expressions can also be found in the last section.

The purpose of this application is truly to give a knowledge on the basics of navigation with a sailboat, and is only good for a theoretical approach, but one with no experience will really learn a lot of things about the sea, the wind and diverse interesting things about boats !
